UPSC 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Those who wish to apply for the UPSC 2024 exam must meet the requirements outlined in the announcement. The following eligibility requirements for the UPSC Civil Service Exam 2024 must be met by the candidate:

Nationality: Applicants must be Indian citizens in order to be considered for the IFS, IPS, and IAS services. Candidates for the remaining services must be either Indian or

  • A person of Indian origin who has moved from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or the East African nations of Uganda, Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Zaire, Malawi, Ethiopia, and Vietnam to permanently settle in India; a subject of Nepal/Bhutan; or a Tibetan refugee (arrived prior to January 1, 1962, intending to settle in India permanently).
  • These applicants, however, need to present an eligibility certificate from the Indian government.

Education:  To apply for the UPSC 2024 exam, candidates must have a graduate degree or an equivalent credential from any government-approved university. Applicants who are in their final year of undergraduate study are eligible to apply, but they must have the necessary paperwork by the deadline.

UPSC 2024 Age Limit

The candidate’s age on August 1, 2024, cannot be less than 21 years old nor more than 32 years old. Government regulations allow for certain categories to have an upper age relaxation in the UPSC age restriction, however there is no reduction in the minimum age limit. UPSC 2024 Attempt Limit

There is a cap on the number of UPSC exam attempts. The UPSC attempt maximum for qualified candidates is six, unless the government relaxes this number for specific categories. UPSC 2024 Application Process

On February 14th, the UPSC released the application form for the 2024 examination. The online OTR application method is used to apply for the UPSC exam. Each stage of the examination has a distinct online application form provided by UPSC. The following is the application procedure for UPSC 2024:

  • The UPSC CSE preliminary application form is available at https://upsconline.nic.in/, the official website.
  • Applicants must finish the One-time Registration (OTR) and complete Parts 1 and 2 of the UPSC application.
  • The UPSC correction tool opens to allow correcting a few form errors after the registration process is finished.
  • After the preliminary exam is over for those who made the short list, the UPSC Mains application form will be made available.
  • DAF 1 is another name for the UPSC CSE mains form.
  • Those who are ultimately chosen for the main stage must complete DAF 2, the UPSC application form for the stage of the personality test.

UPSC Mains 2024 Exam Pattern
